Fabric & Materials
Are your fabrics natural fibers?
Are your fabrics natural fibers?
Yes! Our fabrics are printed on natural cotton and linen-based textiles with no synthetic plastic-based materials.
What size does your fabric come in?
What size does your fabric come in?
Our fabric is sold by the yard. Each yard measures 36 inches (or 3 feet) long by 54 inches (or 4.5 feet) wide (printed width). If you order multiple yards, your fabric will arrive as one continuous piece when able, rather than being cut into separate one-yard sections. If you order more than 10 yards of fabric on one order, your order will be fulfilled in multiple cuts.
Like most fabric by the yard, there will be an unprinted selvedge edge along both sides of the fabric outside the printed area. Please note that due to the printing and manufacturing process, final dimensions may vary slightly, with up to 1 inch of positive variance.
What types of fabric do you offer?
What types of fabric do you offer?
Every Linen Rowe design is available in four fabric options, each with its own unique texture, weight, and recommended use:
- Soft Cotton
- Canvas Cotton
- Linen Blend
- Upholstery Linen Blend
Whether you're sewing apparel, drapery, pillows, or upholstery projects, we offer a fabric option designed to fit your needs. You can explore our full Fabric Types Guide for detailed information on each material, including recommended applications, composition, and care instructions.
Will the same design across multiple orders or on different fabric types look the same?
Will the same design across multiple orders or on different fabric types look the same?
Short answer: not exactly — but very close.
Because all of our fabrics are printed to order, slight color variation can naturally occur between print batches. Additionally, each fabric type absorbs ink differently based on its weave and composition, so the same design may appear slightly different across different materials.
These subtle shifts in color, tone, or texture are a normal part of the fabric printing process and are not considered defects. For the closest possible match, we recommend ordering all needed yardage at the same time and ordering swatches first if you're comparing different fabric types.
Is your fabric double-sided?
Is your fabric double-sided?
No! Our fabric is single-sided, so the back of the fabric will be left unprinted.
Pattern & Yardage
What is a pattern repeat?
What is a pattern repeat?
A pattern repeat is the vertical & horizontal distance before a design repeats again on the fabric. All of our designs have 6" or 12" pattern repeat options that can be selected on each product page.
If I order more than one yard, will I receive one continous roll?
If I order more than one yard, will I receive one continous roll?
Are your fabrics railroaded?
Are your fabrics railroaded?
No. Our fabrics are printed non-railroaded, meaning the pattern runs vertically with the roll length.
Continuous Yardage Note If you order more than 10 yards of fabric, your order may be fulfilled in multiple cuts. If you need a single continuous roll, please contact hello@linenrowe.com
Dye Lots & Custom Batches Since our items are printed to order, subtle color shifts can happen from batch to batch over time. To make sure everything matches perfectly, it's best to order all the fabric you need for a single room at the exact same time.
Pattern Direction Our designs are printed vertically up the roll (also known as non-railroaded). If you're making curtains, the pattern will flow perfectly from floor to ceiling.
